COVID-19 Announcement

Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our lives. For Portsmouth Ford, that means understanding how it affects our employees, customers, communities, and making the necessary adjustments to our work and operations.

Keeping our customers and employees safe is our number one objective. This matter has been at the center of our conversations every step of the way, and with that in mind, we have made several procedural changes in order to eliminate the threat of the coronavirus (COVID-19). We have requested our employees to avoid handshaking, and we will be disinfecting all work/customer waiting areas and vehicles before/after test drives.

Spearheading the disinfecting efforts within our vehicles will be the ResistAll® Purify solution, which is an anti-viral disinfectant that is safe for use on all automotive interiors. Created by CalTex™ Protective Coatings, ResistAll® Purify serves as a deodorizer, sanitizer, and even gives your vehicle the new car smell, all while killing 99.99% of all germs upon contact. This solution is approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and will be applied to all surfaces within the cabin and trunk of your vehicle COMPLETELY FREE prior to delivery and following service work completion, including the upholstery and panels, cargo area, and A/C ventilation systems. CalTex™ is also providing this solution to numerous medical facilities for free, so you can be assured it is safe for you and your family when applied to the interior of your vehicle.

We are closely following CDC guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus. We have shared specific instructions with our employees on the importance of washing their hands and staying home if they feel sick or are returning from an area of the world identified as posing a coronavirus related risk. Per CDC recommendations, we will ask employees who have traveled to such locations to self-quarantine for 14 days.

Strict policies for our employees are in place, and we have canceled meetings with all of our vendors and have eliminated any meetings that require large gatherings. If you do not feel well or choose not to visit our dealership, we are here to serve you at Portsmouth Ford. We will be providing at-home test drives and free delivery services for all vehicles purchased.
